Round 3 – Pick 77 overall: John Metchie III – WR, Alabama

The Minnesota Vikings seem fairly set on offense. Despite only signing a few interior offensive linemen this offseason, most positions have starters returning that have proven themselves to be able to play at a high level.

One area that could use a little help is wide receiver. Depth would help the team in a big way while searching for an eventual starter. Adam Thielen, Justin Jefferson, and K.J. Osborn looked solid last year, but adding another dynamic playmaker to the unit could be huge, especially in a high-octane passing offense like Minnesota could have this year.

At 6′ and 195 pounds, John Metchie III improved every season at Alabama and had a huge year in his final season at Alabama. He had 96 catches for 1,142 receiving yards and eight touchdowns in his 13 games played.

The scary part is that Metchie could just be getting started. If he can continue to find his groove in the NFL, there is a great chance he could become a solid option for any quarterback, especially one with the accuracy of Kirk Cousins.
