Before they add some rookies to their roster at the end of the month, who are some of the available free agents the Minnesota Vikings could still sign?

In less than three weeks, the Minnesota Vikings will use their selections in the 2022 NFL Draft to try and add some talented prospects to a roster that still has a number of holes.

Currently, the Vikings have eight picks in this year’s draft. Those selections and whatever undrafted free agents they sign are not going to be enough to fill some of the needs they still have.

Minnesota still has a little over $12 million in cap space, so they definitely have enough to sign a few veteran free agents before the draft at the end of the month.

Who are some of the players left in free agency that the Vikings could add to their roster before it comes time for them to make their selections in the 2022 NFL Draft?

Akiem Hicks – DL

2021 Team: Chicago Bears

It’s a bit of a surprise that Akiem Hicks still hasn’t been signed by a team this offseason. Sure, Hicks is on the wrong side of 30 and he’s missed 19 games in the last three years.

However, he’s someone who would still be a great addition to a team like the Vikings. Minnesota’s defense still needs to add some more playmakers this offseason, and when he’s been healthy during the last few years, Hicks has been one of the best interior defenders in the NFL.
