Jimmy Graham – TE

2021 Team: Chicago Bears

We know that Irv Smith Jr. is expected to be back on the field for the Vikings next season. But with Tyler Conklin leaving this year, who is going to be the team’s No. 2 tight end?

Currently, Minnesota’s options are Johnny Mundt, Ben Ellefson, or Zach Davidson. None of these three players have done much in their NFL careers and the Vikings might want to add a little bit more experience to their tight end room before the NFL Draft at the end of the month.

Jimmy Graham is very near the end of his career in the league, but 2020 wasn’t that long ago, and that was a season when he was catching 50 passes for 456 yards and eight touchdowns. Graham could still have some juice left that Kevin O’Connell could potentially squeeze out if Minnesota is looking to add another veteran tight end this offseason.

Robert Alford – CB

2021 Team: Arizona Cardinals

With the recent re-signing of Patrick Peterson, some might assume that the Vikings are set with Peterson and Cameron Dantzler as their two starting cornerbacks for the 2022 campaign.

It’s certainly possible that Minnesota could be set with Peterson and Dantzler as their starting corners, but what happens if one of them has to miss time due to injury next season?

The Vikings still need depth at the cornerback position and someone like Robert Alford, who allowed a completion rate of 57.1 percent and ranked as PFF’s 35th-best corner in the NFL in 2021, is worth considering.
