Which offseason moves made by the Minnesota Vikings in 2022 aren’t getting talked about enough?
It was always going to be an eventful offseason period for the Minensota Vikings from the moment ownership decided to fire Mike Zimmer and Rick Spielman after another campaign without playoff football.
This was a monumental step to make for an organization that prides itself on stability, but things had become somewhat stale under the previous regime and a fresh approach could make a massive difference next time around.
Zimmer was a hugely respected figure and accomplished plenty as head coach. However, father time waits for no man and the appointment of Kevin O’Connell brings a significsnt amount of intrigue following his influential role in a memorable Super Bowl triumph for the Los Angeles Rams in 2021.
Considering the financial peril Minnesota found itself in prior to free agency, those in power have done an impressive job of tweaking a competitive roster that should fancy their chances next season with Davante Adams now on the Las Vegas Raiders.
There hasn’t been a significant amount of player turnover. So the Vikings are clearly banking on different coaching methods turning around a roster that is loaded with talent.
