By the time the 2022 regular season actually begins, Jimmy Garoppolo might not even be a member of the 49ers anymore.
San Francisco appears ready to move forward with Trey Lance as their starter next season and the hope was that they would be able to find a team interested in trading for Garoppolo this year.
However, Garoppolo underwent shoulder surgery this offseason, and it seems like this is something that has prevented teams from making a deal for the veteran quarterback.
Depending on how the upcoming NFL Draft goes, teams like the Carolina Panthers, Atlanta Falcons, and Pittsburgh Steelers could be interested in trading for Garoppolo before the start of the 2022 season.
