6. Kirk Cousins (Minnesota Vikings)
2021 Stats (in 16 games):
- 8-8 record

- 4,221 passing yards
- 33 touchdowns, 7 interceptions
- 115 rushing yards, 1 touchdown
Last season, Kirk Cousins put up some pretty impressive numbers out on the field. As was the case with Carson Wentz though, these stats from Cousins didn’t result in the Vikings winning enough games to earn a spot in the playoffs.
Despite missing the postseason in three of Cousins’ four years with the team, Minnesota has decided to stick with the veteran quarterback moving forward.
The Vikings believe that their new head coach, Kevin O’Connell, can potentially get the most out of Cousins next season. Will this turn out to be the case for a quarterback who is entering his 11th year in the NFL?
One would think that hiring an offensive-minded head coach would be the best way to help Cousins reach his full potential. It certainly can’t hurt, but now the quarterback is going to be low on excuses if Minnesota fails to reach the playoffs again next season.
