5. Dak Prescott (Dallas Cowboys)

2021 Stats (in 16 games):

  • 11-5 record
  • 68.8 completion percentage
  • 4,449 passing yards
  • 37 touchdowns, 10 interceptions
  • 146 rushing yards, 1 touchdown

After his 2020 season was cut short by a brutal ankle injury, Dak Prescott returned to the field in 2021, and he proceeded to remind everyone why he’s been the Cowboys’ starting quarterback since he entered the NFL in 2016.

Unfortunately, Prescott’s success in the 2021 regular season didn’t continue on in the playoffs as he had a forgettable performance in Dallas’ wild-card loss to the 49ers.

The Cowboys are now 1-3 in the postseason with Prescott as their starter, so that is something that needs to improve moving forward. Because he can put up all of the high passing numbers he wants, but none of it will matter if Dallas continues to bow out in the first round of the playoffs each year.

At the very least, Prescott should be able to continue playing at a high level during the 2022 season given that Kellen Moore is returning for another year as the Cowboys’ offensive coordinator.
