It’s amazing what just a sliver of help can do for someone like Matthew Stafford out on the football field.
For the first time in a long time, Stafford had the opportunity to share the same locker room with some of the NFL’s most talented players. Unsurprisingly, it resulted in the former No. 1 draft pick achieving a bunch of success in 2021, a season that ended with him hoisting the Vince Lombardi trophy into the air.
With the Rams last season, Stafford finished with his most passing yards since 2012 and his most passing touchdowns since 2011. With head coach Sean McVay still leading the way for Los Angeles, the veteran quarterback should be able to continue playing at a high-level next season.
With a full year in McVay’s offense under his belt, Stafford definitely has the potential to be the NFC’s top quarterback during the 2022 campaign.
