Top 10 NFC QBs: Where does Vikings QB Kirk Cousins rank?
By Adam Patrick
3. Kyler Murray (Arizona Cardinals)
2021 Stats (in 14 games):
- 9-5 record
- 69.2 completion percentage
- 3,787 passing yards
- 24 touchdowns, 10 interceptions
- 423 rushing yards, 5 touchdowns
In terms of pure talent, one could argue that no current quarterback in the NFC possesses more of it than Kyler Murray.
During the early part of the 2021 season, Murray was playing at an MVP level, and his team was defeating every opponent that attempted to stand in their way. But then he was forced to miss some time due to injury and his performance kind of leveled off.
The quarterback that was on pace to throw for more than 4,800 yards and 35 touchdowns through the Cardinals’ first eight games of the 2021 season, that is the quarterback Murray needs to convince to stick around for an entire year.
The immense potential that Murray still possesses makes it even more confusing that Arizona has been hesitant this offseason when it comes to negotiating an extension for the young quarterback.
