KSTP’s Darren Wolfson recently revealed that the Minnesota Vikings could potentially face the New Orleans Saints in London, England next season.

We already know who the opponents will be for the Minnesota Vikings next season. They’ve got their annual matchups with their NFC North rivals in addition to contests against some other notable teams, including the New Orleans Saints, Buffalo Bills, and Arizona Cardinals.

In a few weeks, the official schedule for the 2022 NFL regular season is expected to be revealed, and we will get to find out when and where the Vikings will be playing.

Apparently, Minnesota could be heading across the pond for one of their 2022 matchups. If true, it would be the Vikings’ first trip to England since the 2017 season when they defeated the Cleveland Browns.

Minnesota Vikings and New Orleans Saints matchup in London rumored for 2022 season

During an appearance on SKOR North’s “Mackey & Judd” on Tuesday, KSTP’s Darren Wolfson shared that “there is some buzz about the Vikings landing a game in London [in 2022].”

The opponent for Minnesota in this possible game in London next season? According to Wolfson, the Saints are rumored to be the team that the Vikings could be facing in London.

Since the NFL started having some of their games take place in London back in 2007, Minnesota has taken part in two of these matchups. The first came during the 2013 season when the Vikings got a victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers, and then in 2017 when Minnesota got a win over the Browns.

If they do end up facing New Orleans in London next season, the good news for the Vikings is that the Saints are one of their road opponents for the 2022 campaign, meaning Minnesota won’t have to play one of their nine home games outside of U.S. Bank Stadium.
