Oli Udoh – OL

Hopes were extremely high for Oli Udoh in 2021. There were moments when he really looked the part, but poor discipline and suspect consistency have left many wondering just what sort of future he has moving forward.

Udoh was a liability last season more often than not. He was responsible for no fewer than 16 penalties throughout the campaign according to Pro Football Focus, which is an absolutely astonishing number and something that doesn’t scream consistency under pressure.

Even though there was probably a temptation from the new regime to remove Udoh from the equation, they are giving him another shot to turn things around. It’s also worth remembering that the interior protector only gave up one sack, which means there might be something to work with, providing certain issues are ironed out.

The former Elon standout has some hard work ahead of him in pursuit of meaningful reps next time around. The Vikings have signed some established veterans in free agency and there is also a high chance they will look to a deep draft class for prospects that could be a force.

Hopefully, this is a challenge that Udoh will relish. But the undrafted free agent should take absolutely nothing for granted when it comes to his aspirations.
