The 2022 NFL Draft offers a ton of depth for the Minnesota Vikings to improve their wide receivers.

Wide receivers seem to be arriving in bunches in the NFL and the Minnesota Vikings have been on the right side of that trend. Justin Jefferson is one of many young wide receivers that have made an immediate impact at the next level and several more appear ready for the task in this month’s NFL Draft.

There may not be a pressing need at the position, but adding weapons should always be in the cards when attacking the roster. The Rams notoriously spent resources on offense despite already having star power all over the unit and I would expect that to follow Kevin O’Connell to Minnesota.

The Vikings could turn some heads and select a wide receiver in the first round of the draft if their defensive targets are off the board. While everyone assumes they will go after a defensive back with the 12th overall pick, there is no guarantee that the top players will be available, especially after Derek Stingley impressed at his Pro Day.

Beyond the first night of the draft, there are a ton of talented wide receivers that can make an NFL roster throughout all three days of the draft. Injuries and size will always push highly talented players into the later stages of the draft and NFL-ready players always emerge on Day 3.

Minnesota witnessed a duo of Stefon Diggs and Adam Thielen tear up the NFC despite neither guy being selected in the first 100 picks of the draft. Finding gems is not a given, but it does give some hope for the future of the offense when Thielen eventually leaves the roster.

Which prospects could be on Minnesota’s radar with the draft just around the corner?
