Josh Paschal could be a sleeper in this year’s draft. He’s unlikely to go into the first round. But with the Vikings looking for versatility, he could be a nice target.

Paschall is a little smaller for a traditional edge rusher. But his athleticism is good enough to make it work. Paschal’s 123-inch broad jump is ranked in the 87th percentile in this year’s class and signals an explosive pass-rusher. He also has utilized a bull rush move that could also help him line up in a traditional defensive end spot.

While he had just 13 sacks during his five seasons at Kentucky, he can be deployed in several ways.

That should be enough for the Vikings to consider him in the second round and give him another weapon to use in Ed Donatell’s defense.
