Round 2 – Pick 46 overall: Arnold Ebiketie, Edge – Penn State

The Minnesota Vikings invested a lot in their defensive front seven this offseason, bringing in several defensive tackles and a star edge rusher from Green Bay. They can’t settle there, as drafting a high-potential player to get after the quarterback would be wise.

Arnold Ebiketie played three years at Temple before finishing with Penn State. His 2021 campaign was hugely impressive, as he got 18 tackles for a loss with 9.5 sacks and 62 total tackles with 34 of those being solo.

Ebiketie was slow to grow over his collegiate career and may not yet have come close to reaching his potential. The 6’2, 250-pound pass rusher could learn a lot from Danielle Hunter and Za’Darius Smith and develop into a great asset for the Vikings.

NFL.com gave Arnold Ebiketie a grade of 6.34, saying he “Will Eventually Be Plus Starter” while assessing him a 78 on the Next Gen Stats. Their player comparison is former Chargers and current Seahawks linebacker Uchenna Nwosu.
