Round 6 – Pick 184: Smoke Monday, S – Auburn

It might be hard to find a player with more passion for the game of football than Smoke Monday. His enthusiasm and aggressiveness are apparent in his play and reacting to plays developing in front of him is a major strength.

The Vikings need depth at safety with Harrison Smith and Camryn Bynum expected to be the team’s starters at this point. Monday would earn a spot on special teams and learn behind one of the best safeties in Minnesota history.

Standing 6’2 and weighing 207 pounds, Mondy draws a comparison to former Ravens and current Lions safety DeShon Elliott and has a grade of 5.98 (Average Backup Or Special-Teamer) with a Next-Gen Stats score of 66.

Round 6 – Pick 191: Cordale Flott – CB, LSU

Don’t be surprised to see Minnesota double-dip at cornerback in this year’s draft with the need for depth in the secondary. Cordale Flott is worth a sixth-round selection based on his quickness and length to go with his 6’1, 175-pound frame.

Flott draws a comparison to current Buccaneers defensive back Rashard Robinson and earned a grade of 5.98 (Average Backup Or Special-Teamer) with a Next-Gen Stats score of 51, stating that he is physically below average.
