Vikings Draft 2022: Final seven-round 2022 mock draft
By Adam Carlson
Round 6 – Pick 192: Trestan Ebner, RB – Baylor
Minnesota doesn’t need a running back. Dalvin Cook, Alexander Mattison, and Kene Nwangwu will handle those duties. There is still room on the rother for a good punt returner to compete with others on the roster for the role during the 2022 season.
The Baylor rusher stands 5’10 and weighs 206 pounds but should primarily be seen as a special teamer with a chance to move up. NFL.com gave him a score of 5.91 (Average Backup Or Special-Teamer) with a Next-Gen Stats grade of 51.
Round 7 – Pick 250: Luke Tenuta, OT – Virginia Tech
The Minnesota Vikings are set for starting tackles with Christian Darrisaw and Brian O’Neill but need a high-quality swing and backup tackle behind them. Tenuta is familiar with this role since he played with Darrisaw at Virginia Tech and started at both left and right tackle.
He doesn’t have the ideal size for the NFL, but NFL.com still gave him a score of 5.52 (Priority Undrafted Free Agent) with a Next-Gen Stats grade of 51. He’s a bit of a project, but that’s worth a pick in the seventh round.
What do you think of this mock draft? Do you think the Minnesota Vikings would be great with these prospects added to their roster? Or would you rather see someone else wearing purple and gold in 2022? Let us know your opinion in the comments.
