What big-time trades might the Minnesota Vikings consider during the 2022 NFL Draft to help them get back to the playoffs for the first time since 2019?
In less than a week, the Minnesota Vikings and the rest of the league will take part in the 2022 NFL Draft.
It’s an annual event that typically represents the end of the NFL offseason. If the last few months are any indication, we could see plenty of fireworks during this year’s draft.
If the Vikings truly want to contend next season like they have indicated, then making a trade for an established veteran during the draft might be an option to consider.
There aren’t a ton of sure-thing prospects in the 2022 draft pool (if any), so if there were ever a year for Minnesota to make a big trade for a veteran player, this would be it.
The new regime leading the Vikings has described the current state of the franchise as a competitive rebuild. But it has been made pretty clear by Minnesota’s owners that they would like the team to place a heavier emphasis on the competitive part and less on the rebuilding part.
Making a blockbuster trade for an established veteran player could be what helps the Vikings contend for the top of the NFC next season. If Minnesota were to make a move like this, who are some of the players they could acquire in a trade?
