Chances are very high that the Vikings will select an interior offensive lineman at some point in this year’s NFL Draft and it will likely happen within the first few rounds.

After the disasters of Dakota Dozier and Oli Udoh during the past two seasons, Minnesota is in desperate need to find a guard that can be a solid starter for multiple years.

Cole Strange is someone the Vikings have shown a good amount of interest in during this year’s pre-draft process. Strange spent the majority of his college career starting at the left guard spot, however, he also started two games at left tackle and one matchup at center.

Currently, Minnesota is in need of a new starting right guard and someone to challenge center Garrett Bradbury. As PFF’s sixth-best guard in the nation last year, Strange has the talent to take over as the Vikings’ starting right guard within the next year or two, and he could potentially replace Bradbury in 2023 if Minnesota thinks he’s capable.
