What are the best options that could be available for the Minnesota Vikings at No. 12 overall in the 2022 NFL Draft?
This is one of the more unpredictable drafts in recent memory, especially within the top-10. The Minnesota Vikings will be all too aware of this and are sure to be watching what transpires in front of them with great intrigue.
There is just no telling what the Vikings are going to do, either. A new regime obviously comes with an expected shift in approach to what fans experienced with Mike Zimmer and Rick Spielman, so it will be interesting to see what conclusions those in power have made from a busy evaluation process.
If Minnesota can fill some holes and pick up some exciting talent in the later rounds, then a return to playoff football might be well within their capabilities. But much will obviously depend on circumstances out of their immediate control over the first hour or so.
With this in mind, we ranked the seven best options that could be available when the Vikings officially go on the clock at No. 12.
Prospect No. 7
Tyler Linderbaum – C (Iowa)
The Vikings decided to keep Garrett Bradbury around. But that should not stop them from selecting his potential successor if the right opportunity comes along.
Tyler Linderbau is the best center prospect to enter the league in a generation. He might be a little undersized, but his college production is flawless and it would be a huge surprise if the Iowa product bombed out in the pros.
Other needs might prevent Minnesota from taking the plunge. However, a discussion needs to be had if Linderbaum is still on the board.
