Ranked as the No. 1 prospect by The Draft Network this year, Kyle Hamilton would be a great selection for the Vikings to make in the first round of the 2022 draft.
Some might be wondering how Hamilton could slip to Minnesota at pick No. 12, but it’s definitely something that has become more and more believable during the last few weeks. The Notre Dame safety possibly falling in the draft doesn’t even really have much to do with him, it would likely just be more of a result of what the teams at the top draft order decide to do with their selections.
For a team that wants to remain very competitive next season, Hamilton is someone the Vikings can immediately plug in as a starter next to Harrison Smith.
Yes, Camryn Bynum has the potential to be a solid starter for Minnesota in 2022, but if Hamilton is still available when the Vikings are on the clock in the first round, it’s an easy pick for them to make.
