Round 3

Noah Daniels – CB (TCU)

Even with Rick Spielman and Mike Zimmer out of the picture, the Minnesota Vikings were active in trading around the draft and selecting cornerbacks when the value was right. That should be a trend that continues regardless of the regime because it has never been more important to have an abundance of secondary players.

Noah Daniels will slide under the radar a bit in 2023 because his teammate, Tre’Vius Hodges-Tomlinson, is going to get a lot of recognition as a prospect. Daniels has the size and length to project as an NFL defensive back but has to put together a full season if he wants to be worthy of a high selection.

In three years at TCU, Daniels has played in 17 games with six pass breakups but has yet to record an interception. This is more of a projection of what he can be rather than where he would go right now but Noah Daniels looks to be another TCU product that advances to the NFL.

The Vikings may have added multiple cornerbacks in 2022 that could build a foundation for the future but with Patrick Peterson signing just a one-year deal, the team will need more bodies after this season.

It never hurts to add talented defensive backs which the Vikings have shown over the years. Noah Daniels is another guy that could add to the secondary and give depth to a position that needs it.
