5 Vikings whose jobs are in danger after the 2022 NFL Draft

Bisi Johnson – WR
Prior to the 2021 season, some believed Olabisi Johnson could emerge as a good compliment to Justin Jefferson and Adam Thielen as Minnesota’s No. 3 wide receiver. However, the chances of that happening last year vanished after Johnson tore his ACL during training camp.
With his contract set to expire in 2023, the 25-year-old receiver doesn’t have much time left to prove that he has what it takes to be productive in the NFL.
This summer, Johnson will likely be fighting for one of the final spots on the Vikings’ wide receiver depth chart. The group of receivers that he will be competing with just welcomed a new addition during the 2022 draft when Minnesota used a sixth-round pick to select former Michigan State wide receiver Jalen Nailor.
Helping Johnson’s chances to remain with the Vikings is the fact that the team’s new offensive scheme will likely require the roster to keep more receivers on it than it has in the last few years. Still, he will have to prove to Minnesota’s new coaching staff this summer that he deserves a spot on the team’s final 2022 roster.
