Running backs (5)

  • Dalvin Cook, Alexander Mattison, Kene Nwangwu, Ty Chandler, C.J. Ham

When talking about the most dynamic and explosive running backs in the league, it shouldn’t take long to get to Dalvin Cook. A proven rusher, Cook should get an expanded role by catching passes out of the backfield to show off his ability to work with the ball in space.

Bruising back Alexander Mattison will enter the final year of his rookie deal and be there to give Cook a breather when needed. Kene Nwangwu should return as the third-string running back while also being the team’s primary kickoff return specialist.

Minnesota drafted Ty Chandler this year with a mid-round pick and seems to have some plans for him. Even if he doesn’t see the field on offense, he can carve out a spot on special teams as a gunner or punt return specialist or in other ways until his name is called on the offense.
