Offensive line (8)

  • Christian Darrisaw, Brian O’Neill, Blake Brandel, Garrett Bradbury, Ezra Cleveland, Ed Ingram, Jesse Davis, Wyatt Davis

Last season, the offensive line struggled in a major way to protect Kirk Cousins in the passing game and open holes for Dalvin Cook and the other running backs to exploit. The Vikings made some moves to bring in competition, but ultimately much of the unit will stay the same.

Surprisingly, Garrett Bradbury seems to be unopposed at center, locking down that spot for him this season unless someone is signed to take that job from him. Ezra Cleveland is likely to reprise his role at guard as well, keeping two of the interior starters the same.

Thankfully, there is stability for the starting offensive tackles. Christian Darrisaw and Brian O’Neill could both be long-term answers as bookends for his franchise. That means competition should be wide open for the last starting spot: the right guard.

Rookie Ed Ingram, free agent Jesse Davis, and enigma Wyatt Davis are the top candidates for the job, but that doesn’t mean it is guaranteed that one of them wins the job during training camp or the preseason.
