Which undrafted free agents have the best chance to make the Minnesota Vikings 53-man roster in 2022?

Once the 2022 NFL Draft came to a conclusion, the Minnesota Vikings hastily got to work on recruiting even more players from the college ranks in undrafted free agency. The team managed to secure the services of nine additional arrivals to compliment the 10 picks those in power made throughout an eventful three days.

Coming in undrafted means the task is even greater to win a roster spot. History dictates that it will be difficult for the latest batch of Vikings‘ hopefuls, but this is also a place to find diamonds in the rough sometimes.

Only time will tell, obviously. But at least any incoming college player will get a full offseason of normal workouts to impress, thanks to the non-existent regulations following a period of COVID-19 disruption.

With this in mind, here are four undrafted free agents who could have the best chance of making Minnesota’s 53-man roster in 2022.

Josh Sokol – C

The Vikings did not trigger Garrett Bradbury’s fifth-year option, which indicates the writing might be on the wall for the former first-round pick unless he can increase consistency in 2022.

There doesn’t appear to be much competition for the North Carolina State product next time around. This gives Josh Sokol a big opportunity to earn a place on the depth chart providing his transition goes better than anticipated.

Sokol unsurprisingly went undrafted coming out of Sacred Heart. He does have some impressive physicality to his game, but the lineman is raw and will need considerable coaching to carve out a successful pro career.
