Who were the big winners from another impressive haul of selections during the Minnesota Vikings 2022 NFL Draft?

There was a sense of eager excitement ahead of the 2022 NFL Draft where the Minnesota Vikings were concerned. This was the first selection process for the new regime after ownership decided to fire Mike Zimmer and Rick Spielman in one fell swoop following another campaign without playoff football, something that brought a lot of trade movement and 10 selections to further boost the team’s options.

Perhaps making deals with NFC North rivals seemed strange. But the Vikings clearly felt this was the best way to approach what was projected to be an extremely deep draft across the board.

General manager Kwesi Adofo-Mensah approached the draft with his customary coolness and composure. Something that’s been prevalent throughout his time in the role so far, and hopefully, this is a trend that can continue long into the future.

Only time will tell, obviously. Much will also depend on how quickly Minnesota’s new-look coaching staff can get these picks up to speed with a view to creating some instant contributors from their latest batch of college recruits.

If the Vikings can do this effectively, then a potential playoff push next season is well within their capabilities.

Without further ado, here are four big winners from what proved to be another eventful draft from the Vikings in 2022.
