Cameron Dantzler – CB

Amid all the cornerback turmoil endured by the Minnesota Vikings over the last two seasons, there’s at least been one shining light that poses hope for the future.

Cameron Dantzler’s continued emergence has been encouraging – to put it mildly – but it was important that the organization got some additional assistance for the player despite Patrick Peterson signing a one-year extension before the draft.

Thankfully, help did arrive. Andrew Booth Jr. was a first-round caliber prospect taken in the second round, which could be a significant steal for the Vikings when it’s all said and done.

Booth had some problems with injuries at Clemson, which clearly hindered his draft stock. If the promising individual puts these behind him, then his partnership with Dantzler could finally be what Minnesota has craved for quite some time.

Had Jeff Gladney not been released ahead of time due to a recent arrest, then things might have been different. But it’s hard to envisage a situation where Booth doesn’t come in and make a substantial impact right out of the gate.

Having a former All-Pro in Peterson to lean on for tips, advice, and support is far from a bad thing for Booth. Dantzler also has enough experience to lend assistance if required, too.
