We now know when another Vikings game will take place in 2022

On Monday, it was revealed that the Minnesota Vikings will face the Philadelphia Eagles in a Week 2 matchup that will take place on a Monday night next season.

Last week, it was revealed that the Minnesota Vikings were among the teams that will be participating in the NFL’s annual International Series next season. On Monday, the Vikings found out when another one of their games in 2022 will take place, and this time, their opponent will be the Philadelphia Eagles.

As part of the league’s attempt to stretch the 2022 schedule reveal into a multiple-day process, an announcement was made on Monday which revealed that Minnesota will be traveling to Philadelphia in Week 2 next season as part of a “Monday Night Football” doubleheader.

The matchup between the Vikings and Eagles is the second game of the doubleheader and it will begin at 7:30pm CT. The first contest in the doubleheader will see the Tennessee Titans travel to take on the Buffalo Bills, and that game will start at 6:15pm CT.

What channel is airing the Week 2 game between the Minnesota Vikings and Philadelphia Eagles next season?

Since Minnesota’s game will be taking place before the first matchup comes to an end, each contest will be aired on its own separate channel.

The game between the Titans and Bills will air on ESPN and the showdown between the Vikings and Eagles will be shown on ABC.

So with Monday’s announcement, and the news from last week about the International Series, we now know that Minnesota will be on the road in Philadelphia in Week 2 of next season and then the Vikings will be over in London in Week 4 to take on the New Orleans Saints.

With two of their first four games being on the road (the Saints are technically an away opponent for Minnesota this year), there’s probably a good chance that the Vikings will open up the 2022 season on their home field inside U.S. Bank Stadium.

That’s something we will have to wait to find out until Thursday at 7pm CT when Minnesota’s entire schedule for the 2022 regular season will be revealed to the public.
