NFC Power Rankings: Where do the Vikings rank after the 2022 NFL Draft?
By Adam Patrick
12. Chicago Bears
For the past few months, the Bears have been transforming their roster and stripping it down to the bone. Chicago still has some young pieces to build around, including quarterback Justin Fields, but it looks like they are taking a few steps backward first in order to contend in the future.
The Bears didn’t have a first-round draft pick this year (thanks to the trade for Fields in 2021), but they still managed to leave the annual event with 11 new players.
Former Washington cornerback Kyler Gordon and former Penn State safety Jaquan Brisker could potentially make an immediate impact for Chicago as rookies. But the Bears still have too many holes on their roster to make any sort of noise next season.
11. Washington Commanders
After trading for quarterback Carson Wentz earlier this year, the Commanders used their top 2022 draft pick on someone for him to throw to in former Penn State wide receiver Jahan Dotson.
Dotson has the talent to make a difference during his first season in Washington and he could even be an under-the-radar contender to be the 2022 Offensive Rookie of the Year. But are the additions of him and Wentz enough to help the Commanders win more than the seven games they won last season?
