Jaquiski Tartt, safety

Minnesota locked Harrison Smith into the team with a nice contract extension and used their first-round pick in the 2022 NFL Draft on Lewis Cine, but that doesn’t mean the Vikings still couldn’t use some depth behind those starters.

Camryn Bynum flashed a little bit last season, but past him on the depth at safety is special teamers at best. Bringing in someone like Jaquiski Tartt could be a cheap move that pays big dividends.

Tartt could be relied on to step in if needed and was underrated last season for the 49ers. In fact, it’s a bit surprising he is still a free agent since there are many teams who could use a fringe starter at safety to help round out their roster.

After arguably the best season of his career, it’s confusing why he isn’t getting more attention. Is it because he’s 30 years old? If so, that’s a silly reason not to bring a talented player to your roster to help win football games.
