B.J. Finney, center

As stated earlier, there are many fans out there pounding the table for the Minnesota Vikings to sign J.C. Tretter. That’s because there isn’t a lot of faith in Garrett Bradbury to turn things around and play at a high level this season.

Lost in the shuffle of good free agents is B.J. Finney. Last year with the Steelers, he started two games and played in seven, earning a Pro Football Focus grade of 71.4 based on 87 snaps played and not giving up a pressure or being penalized.

The 6′ 4, 318-pound center bounced around the league for a little bit, playing for three teams in the last two years. However, he appears to be ready for another chance to prove himself and doesn’t seem to be on the radar of other teams since he’s still sitting in free agency.

Since the Vikings actively brought in a lot of competition at guard, it would be nice to see someone be capable and experienced behind Bradbury in case the returning center is unable to step up his performance from last season.

Would you like to see any of these budget-friendly free agents come to Minnesota? Is there another individual you think could help without hurting the salary cap situation? Let us know in the comments.
