Week 17

Green Bay Packers (Away)

  • Date: Sunday, January 1
  • Time: 3:25 p.m. CT
  • TV: CBS

To ring in the new year, the Vikings will travel to Green Bay for their second matchup of the season with the hated Packers.

This could potentially be a contest that plays a giant part in who wins the NFC North in 2022, so a win for Minnesota would be huge.

The Vikings only have two losses in their last five trips to Green Bay, so there’s no reason why Minnesota can’t come away with a victory in this game, and a victory is exactly what they will get.

Prediction: Vikings win (10-6)

Week 18

Chicago Bears (Away)

  • Date: Saturday/Sunday, January 7/8
  • Time: TBA p.m. CT
  • TV: TBA

Well, the Vikings are finishing up their season against the Bears for the sixth time in the last seven years, but this time it comes with a bit of a twist.

Instead of hosting Chicago in the final game on their schedule as they typically have done in the past, Minnesota will be heading out on the road for this contest.

The result of this game could create a number of different outcomes for the Vikings that range from winning the division to completely missing the playoffs.

But instead of controlling their own destiny, Minnesota will end their first season with Kevin O’Connell as their head coach with a loss, and their playoff fate will be decided by the results of several other matchups around the NFL in Week 18.

Prediction: Vikings lose (10-7)
