Tajae Sharpe – WR (Chicago Bears)

Ever since the departure of Jarius Wright in 2018, the Vikings have always seemed to be searching for the perfect No. 3 receiver to compliment the two pass-catchers at the top of their depth chart.

Tajae Sharpe is one of the many receivers Minnesota has added during the last few years to see if he could develop into a reliable No. 3 receiver. Spoiler alert, he did not.

Sharpe signed with the Vikings in 2020 and he went on to appear in a grand total of four games for the purple and gold. He did have three targets, but he didn’t catch a single pass during his lone season in Minnesota.

After his time in the Twin Cities, Sharpe signed with the Atlanta Falcons in 2021. With the Falcons last season, he had a much more productive performance than what he did for the Vikings.

Sharpe started seven games for Atlanta in 2021 and he finished the season with 25 catches for 230 yards. Clearly, he didn’t put up monster numbers, but his stats were impressive enough to convince the Chicago Bears to sign him to a one-year deal earlier this offseason.
