Super early 22-man starter projections for the 2022 Vikings

Starting Quarterback
- Kirk Cousins
For the past four seasons, Kirk Cousins has been the starting quarterback for the Vikings. Cousins was initially brought in during the 2018 offseason to help Minnesota get over the hump and into a Super Bowl.
Unfortunately, the Vikings have only made the playoffs in one of Cousins’ four seasons with the team. Still, that didn’t prevent Minnesota from giving the veteran quarterback an extension earlier this year that keeps him under contract with the team until 2024.
The Vikings want to see if new head coach Kevin O’Connell can help Cousins reach levels of success that the veteran passer has never achieved before.
We know Cousins is going to put up solid numbers next season. O’Connell just has to figure out a way to convince the Minnesota quarterback to take more risks. If this happens, then we might see a version of Cousins that produces more overall success for the Vikings than we’ve ever seen during his tenure with the team.
