Super early 22-man starter projections for the 2022 Vikings

Starting Defensive Line
- Harrison Phillips – DT
The Vikings didn’t give Harrison Phillips a contract worth almost $20 million earlier this year to sit on the bench, so he will be a part of the team’s starting defense next season.
Phillips excels at stopping the run, which is great news for Minnesota since they have struggled in this area during the last few years.
- Dalvin Tomlinson – NT
Dalvin Tomlinson performed well in his first season with the Vikings last year. At 6-foot-3 and 325 pounds, Tomlinson will be a force up the middle for Minnesota’s defensive line in 2022.
- Armon Watts – DT
Unless the Vikings add someone else to their roster between now and the start of the regular season (Akiem Hicks is still looking for a job), Armon Watts should end up as a member of the team’s starting defense.
Watts has been solid in a reserve role during his three years with Minnesota. But how will he perform as a full-time starter?
