First Round Pick (32nd overall)

Original Selection: Lewis Cine – S (Georgia)

Redraft Selection: Cine

Lewis Cine was someone the Vikings had their eye on heading into the 2022 NFL Draft.  After trading with the Detroit Lions and moving from the No. 12 pick to the No. 32 pick in the first round, Minnesota was hoping that Cine would still be around when it came time to make their first selection of the draft.

Luckily for the Vikings, the former Georgia safety was still on the board when it was their turn to make a pick in the first round, so they went ahead and selected him.

Cine is someone who can make an immediate impact for Minnesota as a rookie. He’s got elite speed to keep up with almost any receiver on the field while in pass coverage and he can deliver powerful hits that can bring down even the biggest opposing ball-carriers.

With Cine out on the field with Harrison Smith, the Vikings have the potential to have one of the best safety duos in the NFL next season.
