6 most exciting Vikings moves of the 2022 offseason

6. Signing Jordan Hicks
Minnesota has been busy in free agency despite having to shift around their salary cap obligations. One of the transactions they made was signing former Cardinals and Eagles linebacker Jordan Hicks to a two-year contract worth $10M.
Hicks isn’t the flashiest of signings, but he does some things very well. He has accumulated triple-digit tackles over each of his last three seasons and notched a career-high four sacks in his 2021 campaign with Arizona.
Playing next to Eric Kendricks in the new defense should create an amazing line of defense for a team struggling to stop the run and contain plays in the middle of the field. These two experienced linebackers are reliable and trustworthy, making them a duo to watch.
At 30 years old, Hicks has seen his fair share of action and is exactly what this team needed as a bridge to the new-look 3-4 defense. Even if fans weren’t familiar with his work before signing with the Minnesota Vikings, they will be happy he’s here this season.
