With the additions the Minnesota Vikings made during the recent 2022 NFL Draft, which veterans could be in danger of losing their starting job to a rookie?

It’s almost June, which means we are getting closer to the Minnesota Vikings beginning their first training camp with Kevin O’Connell as their head coach.

Training camp is where the Vikings will figure out which players they will be keeping on their roster for the 2022 regular season.

There will be several positional battles this summer in Minnesota. Many of these battles will be for spots lower on the depth chart, but there might be a few starting jobs up for grabs too.

A few weeks ago, the Vikings added 10 rookies to their roster during the 2022 NFL Draft. Since the draft has concluded, Minnesota has also signed 10 undrafted free agents.

The previous regime wasn’t too fond of giving starting roles to rookies, but the people in charge of the Vikings now might have a different perspective when it comes to the capabilities of first-year players.

Minnesota’s 2022 first-round pick, Lewis Cine, is likely going to begin the regular season as one of the team’s two starting safeties. But will he be the only Vikings rookie to begin the 2022 campaign as a starter?

With training camp around the corner, which veteran Minnesota players should be concerned about their starting job being taken away by a rookie before the start of the regular season?
