Cameron Dantzler – CB

Recently, Cameron Dantzler revealed that he’s bigger, stronger, and faster than last season. Dantzler has added some additional weight this year and he’s ready to reach his full potential in 2022.

He also said that he’s looking forward to competing with rookie Andrew Booth Jr. this summer to see who will open the regular season as one of Minnesota’s two starting cornerbacks.

The Vikings used a second-round pick on Booth this year and many believe that he had first-round value. So Dantzler might have his work cut out for him if he’s going to win the CB2 battle over the rookie.

Helping Dantzler’s chances is the fact that the cornerback position is one of the hardest to adjust to when making the transition from college to the pros. Booth is definitely going to have some growing pains and they might prevent him from being a starter in his rookie year with Minnesota.

If Booth is able to impress in training camp and the preseason though, then Dantzler could be starting the 2022 season on the bench.
