Vikings at Packers – Week 17

If Week 1 against the Green Bay Packers is a good chance to set the tone, then this clash at Lambeau Field in Week 17 will be the landmark contest for Kirk Cousins and the Vikings, who will hopefully still be bang in contention for the NFC North title and a playoff berth by this point.

Cousins will once again lock horns with Aaron Rodgers at a time when things just mean more. The two-time NFL MVP will be striving to ensure Green Bay doesn’t relinquish their divisional crown without a fight and if the Vikings are playing for the same, then this represents a fixture where the stakes could not be higher.

Going to a freezing Packers atmosphere at this time of year is far from ideal. But Cousins has experienced this before and hopefully, it’s something he can put to good use when it comes to the crunch.

This hunting ground has not been a profitable one for Minnesota more often than not in recent years. But the renewed sense of optimism with Kevin O’Connell at the helm could make all the difference if everything goes according to plan.

It’s highly likely this will be a much different Green Bay team from the one Minnesota will face right out of the gate in 2022. A challenge that Cousins must be ready for.
