With the 2022 NFL season now just a few months away, which players could the Minnesota Vikings trade for to become a championship contender?

After the Minnesota Vikings fired head coach Mike Zimmer and general manager Rick Spielman earlier this offseason and replaced them with Kevin O’Connell and Kwesi Adofo-Mensah, most assumed the team was heading into a 2022 campaign with low expectations.

But the Vikings have made it clear this year that they intend to compete for a top spot in the NFC next season. Minnesota may have a new head coach and general manager this year, but they still have a lot of familiar faces on their roster.

If the Vikings are truly serious about contending in 2022, then they might want to consider pursuing a trade that could vault them into the championship picture.

Last season, the Los Angeles Rams made a trade for All-Pro linebacker Von Miller, and his addition to the defense played a large role in the team winning the Super Bowl.

O’Connell got to witness, first-hand, what a successful trade can do for an organization when he was the Rams offensive coordinator last season.

Could he and Adofo-Mensah cook up a deal that gives Minnesota a much better chance at emerging as a championship contender in 2022? If so, who are some of the players the Vikings could acquire to transform into a legit threat in the NFC next season?
