AJ Terrell – CB (Atlanta Falcons)

Earlier this year, the Vikings used a second-round selection on former Clemson cornerback Andrew Booth Jr. in the 2022 NFL Draft.

After adding Booth to their roster this offseason, why not add a former college teammate of his too in Falcons cornerback AJ Terrell?

In addition to drafting Booth this year, Minnesota also re-signed veteran cornerback Patrick Peterson. With the Vikings last season, Peterson was solid, and he’ll continue to be a starter in 2022.

But at this point in his career, is Peterson better off as the No. 2 cornerback on Minnesota’s depth chart? Why not attempt to make a trade for a very talented and young corner in Terrell.

After experiencing some growing pains as a rookie, Terrell came into his own in 2021 as he had an allowed passer rating of 47.5 and an allowed completion percentage of just 43.9.

At 23-years-old, his success in the NFL is just beginning. Figuring out a way to execute a trade for Terrell would be a great decision for the Vikings to make.

Not only could they pair him with Peterson in 2022, but he and Booth could combine to be Minnesota’s starting corners for the next handful of seasons.
