Minnesota Vikings sign former Chiefs and Dolphins receiver

The Minnesota Vikings have signed former Chiefs and Dolphins receiver Albert Wilson to a one-year deal to add competition and depth to the roster.
Not long after reports that the Minnesota Vikings brought in wide receiver Dede Westbrook for a workout, the team made the decision to sign a different pass-catcher to add to their roster for the upcoming season.
According to the team’s official Twitter account, former Kansas City Chiefs and Miami Dolphins receiver Albert Wilson has been signed to a one-year deal to add depth and experience to the roster.

Who is the new Minnesota Vikings receiver Albert Wilson?
An undrafted free agent of the Chiefs in 2014, Albert Wilson stands 5’9 and weighs 195 pounds. Over the course of seven seasons in the league, the former Georgia State receiver in 89 games, starting 38 of those contests.
Experience is a big bonus for Wilson. He has caught 218 passes for 2,499 yards and 12 touchdowns while adding 27 rushing attempts for 160 yards and a score. That brings his total stats from scrimmage to 2,659 yards and 13 scores.
Minnesota boasts an exciting roster of talent at wide receiver that includes young phenom Justin Jefferson, veteran Adam Thielen, breakout player K.J. Osborn, returning pass-catcher Bisi Johnson, rookie Jalen Nailor, and more. Wilson will need to have an impressive training camp and preseason to make the team’s 53-man roster.
