Minnesota Vikings veteran center Garrett Bradbury recently revealed that he would like to re-sign with the purple and gold after the 2022 season.

It wouldn’t be outlandish to claim that the tenure of Garrett Bradbury with the Minnesota Vikings has been incredibly disappointing since the team used a first-round pick on him in the 2019 NFL Draft.

Minnesota revealed their feelings on Bradbury’s performance so far when they decided to decline his fifth-year contract option earlier this offseason.

No worries though, the Vikings center is poised to redeem himself in 2022 by playing at a level that has yet to be seen from him since he was drafted. That’s not all though, Bradbury even has a goal of re-signing with Minnesota after the upcoming season.

Garrett Bradbury would like to remain with the Minnesota Vikings after the 2022 season

Following the first day of the Vikings’ mandatory minicamp on Tuesday, Bradbury was asked if he would like to stay in Minnesota after his current contract runs out in 2023. Here’s what he had to say according to the Pioneer Press’ Chris Tomasson.

"“Absolutely. I love it here in Minnesota, me and [my wife] do. This is an unbelievable locker room, and I think [with] this coaching staff, it’s pretty easy to buy into what these guys are selling.”"

To be fair, Tomasson did mention that Bradbury said he didn’t want to look too far ahead to the future and just focus on learning the Vikings‘ new offensive scheme.

Minnesota’s veteran center also revealed that he’s put on more than 10 pounds during the last few months as he hopes to be bigger and stronger for the upcoming season.

It’s nice that Bradbury wants to re-sign with the Vikings and he’s taking some necessary steps to try and make that happen. But it shouldn’t have taken him until his fourth year with the team to try and significantly improve his strength.

At this point, Bradbury is going to have to be vastly improved in 2022 in order for him to re-sign with Minnesota after the season is over. Based on his first three years in the league, don’t put any real money on that actually happening though, unless you like throwing cash in the garbage.
