Henry To’oTo’o – LB (Alabama)

Eric Kendricks is not getting any younger and it remains to be seen how free-agent signing Jordan Hicks pans out. It’s therefore important for the Vikings to look at the future and examine the standard of linebackers entering the NFL next year.

This bears more significance with Minnesota moving to a 3-4 base scheme under Ed Donatell. Something that should bring the best out of some talented defenders across the roster.

If the Vikings are looking for a long-term successor for Kendricks in 2023, then Henry To’oTo’o is a name that should be closely monitored during the 2022 campaign. The Alabama product is a commanding force at the second level, boasting the high football IQ and natural instincts needed to make a real go of things in a professional environment.

To’oTo’o also communicates well pre-snap and can make things happen in all phases of play. This is always half the battle with rookie players at the position and something that could lead to a smooth transition when the time comes for Kendricks to take a step back.

Even though To’oTo’o is a little undersized, it doesn’t bother him all that much. Although his pass-rushing moves need some work before arriving at the next level.
