Offensive line (9)

  • Garrett Bradbury, Blake Brandel, Ezra Cleveland, Christian Darrisaw, Jesse Davis, Ed Ingram, Brian O’Neill, Austin Schlottmann, Oli Udoh

Major improvements are expected from the offensive line this season despite there not being any major changes to the personnel. Four of the five starters are likely to return to their positions, with Christian Darrisaw, Ezra Cleveland, Garrett Bradbury, and Brian O’Neill expected to return to their respective spots.

An open competition for the right guard spot between Jesse Davis, Wyatt Davis, and Ed Ingram should determine the fifth starter with one of them latching on as a backup as well. Since there is still a lot to know about Wyatt Davis, for now, he will be on the outside looking in.

Backup offensive tackles are important as well. Oli Udoh and Blake Brandel will likely round out that role on his team as those ready to step in and play if the situation arises. Neither player is very established, but both have some potential.

Meanwhile, with no competition for the starting job, Austin Schlottmann has a pretty clear path to being the backup center until one of the guards can fill that role. Center is another weak spot on the roster, but if the new bulked-up Bradbury can thrive in Minnesota’s new scheme, they should be alright.
