After touting one of the league’s top offenses for two seasons, what is the ceiling for the Minnesota Vikings in 2022?

The Minnesota Vikings own one of the most explosive offenses in the NFL with plenty of star talent to earn recognition across the league. With a new head coach in the building, things are looking brighter than ever for the offensive side of the ball.

Minnesota’s history has been the dominant defense and winning games through that unit as opposed to a dynamic offense that can put up points in a hurry. Now that Kevin O’Connell is pulling all of the strings, the Vikings look to be a dangerous offensive threat led by Kirk Cousins.

Cousins will be the focal point of headlines throughout the season and the excuses are slowly dwindling as the franchise hopes he can lead them to a deep playoff run. They have armed him with an offensive-minded coach, skill players in abundance, and have spent plenty of resources on the offensive line.

The Vikings are also benefitting from a weak NFC North that has not done much to get better this offseason. Detroit made the most progress in 2022 while the Packers and Bears arguably got worse throughout the spring.

Kirk Cousins has to step up and deliver results for the Vikings during the 2022 season. But exactly how high is this offense’s ceiling?
