Joe Berger, guard/center

There are two questionable spots on the offensive line for the Minnesota Vikings heading into the 2022 NFL season. Right guard will be an open competition and there is plenty of doubt that Garrett Bradbury will step up and be the center the team hoped he could be.

Having a player like Joe Berger wouldn’t be a flashy addition to the team, but it would immediately make the line better by having a starting-caliber right guard who would be able to slide over to center if Bradbury continues to fail to impress.

Position versatility is a huge bonus and his ability to be excellent as both a run blocker and pass protector makes him one of the more underrated offensive linemen to serve during the Mike Zimmer era of the Vikings.

Joining Brian O’Neill, Ezra Cleveland, Garrett Bradbury, and Christian Darrisaw would be great for Berger. Plus, I’m sure Kirk Cousins would love to have some time in the pocket without one of his linemen being thrown back toward him.
