Adrian Peterson, running back
The Minnesota Vikings have one of the deepest running back groups in the NFL featuring some of the speediest rushers the team has ever seen. However, they would be foolish not to welcome the leading rusher in franchise history back to the roster.
In his prime, Adrian Peterson was an absolute monster. His showcased speed, power, elusiveness, and acceleration made defenders look silly on a regular basis. He was especially amazing during the 2012 season when he was named the league’s MVP.
having a rotation of Adrian Peterson and Dalvin Cook is an absolutely terrifying idea for opposing defenses. The two runners could sub in to stay fresh and healthy while wearing down any defense facing off against the purple and gold.
Alexander Mattison and Kene Nwangwu are both good players, but neither one of them would create the kind of one-two punch that Dalvin Cook and Adrian Peterson would out of the Minnesota Vikings backfield.
