Bears fan predicts the Vikings to lose 7 of their first 10 games in 2022
By Adam Patrick
NFL Network’s Adam Rank recently shared his annual record predictions for every NFL team and his thoughts about the Minnesota Vikings are not surprising.
Every year around this time, NFL Network’s Adam Rank, who is a Chicago Bears fan, gives his record predictions for the Minnesota Vikings and every other team in the league.
For the 2022 season, Rank has the Vikings finishing their schedule with a loss on the road to the Bears (insert shocked face) to finish the year with a disappointing 7-10 record.
The bias is strong with this Chicago fan as he has Minnesota starting the upcoming season with losses in seven of their first 10 games. Rank does have the Vikings entering their final two matchups of the 2022 campaign with a 7-8 record, but then he ultimately has them losing both contests and finishing with a 7-10 record.
Is a final record of 7-10 for the Minnesota Vikings in 2022 realistic?
When it comes to Minnesota ending next season with a 7-10 record, seven wins feels like the floor for the team in 2022.
The Vikings are returning the majority of their top playmakers from last season and they’ve got a new, more modern, coaching staff leading the way now.
Rank wasn’t the notable media figure to make a prediction about how successful Minnesota might be in 2022 as Fox Sports’ Colin Cowherd recently said that the Vikings will double their win total next season, meaning they will jump from eight wins to 16.
So which outcome is more likely for Minnesota in 2022? This is something that was explored during the latest episode of “The Viking Age Podcast“. The chatter about this specific topic begins around the 18:00 mark.
While a 7-10 record for the Vikings in 2022 would definitely be disappointing, it’s certainly more realistic than the team finishing 16-1.
Anything is possible, but only one team in NFL history has ended their regular season schedule with 16 wins and that was the New England Patriots in 2007 when they were led by Tom Brady, Randy Moss, and Bill Belichick.
Oh, and in case anyone was wondering, Rank has also predicted the Bears to finish next season with a 10-7 record.
